(Sports Network) – The Dallas Mavericks lost to the San Antonio Spurs, 94-80,
on Wednesday at the SBC Center. Dallas has lost three straight games.

Dirk Nowitzki played despite nursing an ankle injury and posted 23 points and
11 boards for the Mavericks, who have dropped four of their last five games
after starting the season by winning seven of their first eight contests.
Jerry Stackhouse netted 15 points off the bench in the losing effort.

The Mavericks and Spurs play again next Tuesday in Dallas. The Mavs fell to
4-3 on the road.

Stackhouse has scored in double-digits in 10 of the Mavericks 13 games this
season. He has averaged 14.9 points per game this season.

Dallas is off until Friday when it hosts Zach Randolph and the Portland Trail
Blazers. Last season, the Mavs beat the Blazers in three of the four contests
between the squads.
