=== Miami Heat Team Report – November 27 ===

(Sports Network) – The Miami Heat were handed a loss in a close game against
the Detroit Pistons on Friday night at the Palace at Auburn Hills.

Richard Hamilton banked home a shot over the outstretched arm of Shaquille
O’Neal with 1.3 seconds remaining, lifting Detroit to a 78-77 victory over
Miami at the Palace.

O’Neal ended with 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Heat, who suffered
their first loss against an Eastern Conference opponent this season (8-1).
Dwyane Wade added 17 points before fouling out late in the fourth, and Udonis
Haslem scored 15 — although he had just three points after the first quarter.

Miami only made one field goal in the final 4:40, and it was Rasual Butler’s
jumper from the left elbow for a 77-76 Heat lead with 7.3 ticks remaining.

Detroit’s Tayshaun Prince was called on to inbound the ball at the other end
seconds later, and he found a slashing Hamilton under the basket. Hamilton cut
to the left side of the paint and lofted a shot just over O’Neal’s arm for the
go-ahead bucket.

The Pistons swept all four meetings between these teams last season and have
won nine of 10 against the Heat.

The Heat will battle the Boston Celtics on Sunday night in Miami. The teams
will be meeting for the first time this season after splitting four games last
year.
