(Sports Network) – The Sacramento Kings posted a 109-106 victory over the
Los Angeles Lakers on Friday evening at the Staples Center.

Peja Stojakovic had 26 points, including the final four of the game, to lead
the Kings to their seventh straight victory. Sacramento had just completed a
perfect five-game homestand at ARCO Arena.

The Kings trailed 105-102 with 1:19 left following a Jumaine Jones three-
pointer. But Sacramento ended the game on a 7-1 run to post the victory.

Chris Webber added 22 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists for the Kings.
Bibby had 14 points, Christie 13 and Bobby Jackson 11 to round out the
Sacramento double-figure scorers.

The victory was just the eighth in 43 attempts for the Kings in Los Angeles.

LA center Vlade Divac faced the Kings for the first time since signing with
the Lakers after six seasons in Sacramento.

The Kings will return home for Sunday night’s game against the Minnesota
Timberwolves. It will mark the first meeting of the season between the teams.
The T’Wolves won three of four matchups with the Kings last season.
