(Sports Network) – Richard Hamilton and Antonio McDyess each registered 19
points to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 93-72 blowout victory over the Houston
Rockets on Tuesday at the Toyota Center.

Chauncey Billups added 18 points and eight assists for the Pistons, who closed
out the season’s opening month with a 7-7 mark. Rasheed Wallace chipped in 10
points and six rebounds in the victory.

This marked the second and final meeting of the season between the two teams.
Detroit, which has won five of the last six versus Houston, captured both
contests. The Pistons, who just 44 percent from the floor, improved to just
2-6 on the road this season.

Hamilton has scored in double-digits in all 14 of Detroit’s games this season.
He is the Pistons’ top scorer at 21.1 points per game. Hamilton is also
averaging four rebounds and 4.2 assists.

The Pistons are off until Friday when they visit All-Star Tim Duncan and the
San Antonio Spurs. Last season, Detroit and the Spurs split a pair of
contests.
