New York Knicks Team Report – December 1

=== New York Knicks Team Report – December 1 ===

(Sports Network) – The New York Knicks try to make it three straight wins
this evening when they open a brief two-game homestand against the Memphis
Grizzlies at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks moved over .500 for the first time in nearly three years on
Tuesday, as Jamal Crawford hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 3.4 seconds left
in overtime and New York held on for a 110-109 win over the Atlanta Hawks at
Philips Arena.

Stephon Marbury recorded a team-high 32 points and hit a pair of game-tying
free throws with 2.6 seconds left in regulation, as the Knicks have won four
of five to move over .500 for the first time since December 2001.

Crawford, who shot only 7-of-28 from the field and 2-of-12 from three-point
land, finished with 24 points for New York, which has won four of five
overall.

Former Hawk Nazr Mohammed recorded his fourth straight double-double, scoring
22 points and grabbing 15 rebounds, for the Knicks, who won for only the
second time in seven road games this season.

Mohammed is averaging 14.3 points and 10.3 boards a game for the past seven
games and is tied with Tim Duncan atop the NBA with 4.1 offensive rebounds per
game.

New York, which will wrap up its home-stretch versus the Orlando Magic on
Friday, is 5-1 at MSG this season with wins in its last five. The winning
streak at home is the Knicks’ longest since the 2000-01 campaign when they won
eight consecutive home games.

New York has split its last six meetings with the Grizzlies, but has dropped
three straight to them in the Big Apple. The Knicks, though, have won 10 of
the last 14 overall matchups.
