(Sports Network) – The Phoenix Suns posted their ninth straight victory on
Wednesday night, defeating Cleveland, 120-101, at America West Arena. Phoenix
pushed its record to 13-2, its best start in 24 years.

Amare Stoudemire, Steve Nash and Quentin Richardson registered 21 points
apiece in the winning effort, while Joe Johnson added 18. Shawn Marion
added 10 points and 12 rebounds, while Leandra Barbosa chipped in 15 points
off the bench.

Phoenix shot 53 percent from the field, including 44 percent from three-point
range (8-of-18). The Suns hit 18-of-21 from the charity stripe in the contest.

The Suns’ nine-game win streak is its sixth-longest in franchise history,
while they are off to their best start since the 1980-81 campaign.

Phoenix dominated Cleveland on the glass in the game, outrebounding it, 48-37.
Meanwhile, the Suns had 30 fast break points in the contest.

The Suns have a day off before hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday
