New Jersey Nets Team Report – December 2

=== New Jersey Nets Team Report – December 2 ===

(Sports Network) – The New Jersey Nets’ struggles continued on Wednesday, as
they dropped a 95-68 decision to the Washington Wizards at the MCI Center.

New Jersey, fresh off snapping a nine-game slide Tuesday night, was led by
Eric Williams’ 17 points. Travis Best scored 16 points in 29 minutes before
fouling out, while Richard Jefferson was held to just seven free throws as he
went 0-for-6 from the floor.

The Nets scored the game’s first seven points, but had problems finding the
basket after that, finishing 20-of-64 from the field. The 20 field goals
established a new franchise low.

To make matters worse, guard Zoran Planinic fractured his hand when he was
fouled in the process of shooting in the second quarter. Planinic completed
the three-point play before leaving the game and is expected to be out for the
next 6-to-8 weeks.

However, star guard Jason Kidd is expected to practice on Friday and could be
back in the lineup when the Nets host the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.
