=== Golden State Warriors Team Report – December 2 ===

(Sports Network) – The Golden State Warriors lost to the Minnesota
Timberwolves, 107-99, on Wednesday at The Arena.

Troy Murphy paced the Warriors with 25 points with a game-high 17 boards.
Jason Richardson collected 21 points for Golden State, which has dropped three
in a row and four of its last five overall.

In the fourth quarter, Minnesota took the lead for good on two free throws by
Sam Cassell, making it 92-91 with around seven minutes left in the contest.
After Derek Fisher missed a trey down at the other end of the court, Minnesota
scored four quick points to own a 96-91 lead moments later. The Warriors
trimmed the deficit to 98-97 on Mickael Pietrus’ dunk with just under two
minutes left, but that was as close as Golden State would get the rest of the
way. Minnesota sealed the win by closing out the game on 9-2 run for the final
margin.

The Warriors fell to 2-6 as the host this season. Golden State has lost three
of its last four in front of its home crowd.

Murphy has scored in double-digits in five straight games. He is averaging
19.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game in that span.

Golden State is off until Friday when it hosts Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles
Lakers. Last season, the Lakers won three of the four meetings between the two
clubs.
