Pacers’ Foster activated from injured list
Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) – Indiana Pacers center Jeff Foster was
activated from the injured list Tuesday. He had missed the first 17 games of
the season after undergoing hip surgery in October.
Foster suffered the injury before training camp started, but wasn’t bothered
by it until it flared up. The 21st overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft,
Foster averaged 6.1 points and 7.4 rebounds in his first year as a starter
In order to make room for Foster on the roster, Indiana released forward
Britton Johnsen. Johnsen played in six games (one start) and averaged 2.0
points and 1.7 rebounds per contest.
Indiana, which is in the midst of a four-game skid, is 10-7 this season. The
Pacers will try to end their losing streak Tuesday night versus Milwaukee.
