(Sports Network) – The lowly New Orleans Hornets fell to the New York Knicks,
86-79, at New Orleans Arena on Wednesday.

Lee Nailon and Dan Dickau each had 17 for the Hornets. David Wesley added 13
and P.J. Brown chipped in with 11 for the struggling Hornets, who have dropped
eight in a row since their lone win of the year on November 22 against Utah.

Chris Anderson came off the bench to add 10 points with 12 boards in a losing
cause, as the Hornets fell to an NBA worst 1-16.

The Hornets Matt Freije left the game in the third quarter with a cracked tail
bone.

Wesley has scored in double-digits in four straight games. He is averaging
15.8 points per game in that span.

New Orleans is off until Friday when it visits Richard Jefferson and the New
Jersey Nets at Continental Airlines Arena. It will be the first meeting this
season between the two squads. The teams will play once again on March 9th at
New Orleans.
