Houston returns for Knicks

Washington, DC (Sports Network) – New York Knicks guard Allan Houston made his
season debut in Friday’s 106-104 setback to the Washington Wizards at the MCI
Center.

Houston was activated off the injured list on Tuesday, but did not play in
Wednesday’s win over New Orleans. He came off the bench for the first time in
his Knicks career on Friday and finished with eight points on 4-of-8 shooting
in 19 minutes of action.

Houston had been on the shelf after undergoing offseason left knee surgery.
The injury had forced Houston to miss the end of last season, including the
playoffs, as well as the entire preseason this year.

Last season, Houston averaged 18.5 points per game, playing in a career-low 50
contests.
