=== New Jersey Nets Team Report – December 11 ===

(Sports Network) – The New Jersey Nets try to stay on the winning track this
evening when they travel to Atlanta to face the Hawks at Philips Arena.

New Jersey comes into tonight’s tilt on a winning note after Richard Jefferson
scored 24 points to lead the Nets to a 94-91 overtime win over New Orleans at
Continental Airlines Arena.

Eric Williams finished with 19 points for New Jersey, which has won three of
its last four. Jason Collins contributed 11 points and nine rebounds.

Travis Best added 10 points and nine assists for New Jersey, which scored six
straight points in overtime to overcome an 88-86 deficit. A layup in the lane
by Williams, with 1:31 to go, put them ahead 92-88

George Lynch then hit a three-pointer to pull the Hornets within 92-91.
However, Best hit two foul shots with 49 seconds left to cap the scoring for
New Jersey.

On the injury front, center Alonzo Mourning missed last night’s game with
hand, hip and knee aches. He also intends to sit out against Atlanta.

The Nets, who will host the New York Knicks on Tuesday, are just 1-7 away from
home this season.

New Jersey defeated the Hawks one week ago, but could be at a disadvantage
tonight, as the road team in this series has won just two of the last 13
meetings. The Nets, though, have won four of the last five overall meetings,
but have dropped 14 of 18 in Dixie.
