Pacers sign Curry
Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) – Indiana signed free agent forward
Michael Curry on Monday.
Curry, a 10-year veteran, should help the Pacers deal with a roster that has
been depleted due to suspensions and injuries. Last season he averaged 2.9
points and 1.2 rebounds in 70 games for Toronto.
The 36-year-old Curry spent three seasons playing for Indiana head coach Rick
Carlisle, while with the Detroit Pistons, between 2001-03.
The 6-foot-6 Curry — president of the NBA Players’ Association — has also
played with Philadelphia, Washington and Milwaukee.
The Pacers, who have lost seven straight, waived Tremaine Fowlkes to make room
on the roster for Curry.
