Denver Nuggets Team Report – December 15

=== Denver Nuggets Team Report – December 15 ===

(Sports Network) – The Denver Nuggets will try again to get back on the
winning track when they pay a visit to the Boston Celtics this evening at
FleetCenter.

The Celtics won both matchups with Denver last season and have taken 10 of 11
and 12 of the last 14 meetings. The Nuggets have also dropped seven straight
and 13 of their last 14 games in Beantown.

The Nuggets had their four-game winning streak halted on Sunday night against
the New York Knicks and dropped another game to the Philadelphia 76ers on
Tuesday evening. Denver is now 2-2 during its current seven-game road trip.

Allen Iverson scored 31 points, grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds and handed
out eight assists to lead Philadelphia over Denver, 110-102, at the Wachovia
Center. Carmelo Anthony posted 29 points and Kenyon Martin tallied 25 points
and 10 boards for the Nuggets, who are still 10-4 in their last 14 contests.

The Nuggets led 79-61 with 3:13 remaining in the third, but that 18-point
margin quickly disappeared as the Sixers went on a 31-7 run which went into
the fourth quarter to jump ahead by six.

Denver trimmed the deficit to 92-90 on a pair of free throws by Andre Miller
early in the fourth, but that was as close as it would get as the Sixers would
lead by as many as 10 the rest of the way.
