(Sports Network) – Allen Iverson scored 31 points, grabbed a season-high 10
rebounds and handed out eight assists to lead the Philadelphia 76ers over the
Denver Nuggets, 110-102, on Tuesday at the Wachovia Center.

Willie Green came off the bench and netted a season-high 17 points in just 15
minutes for the Sixers, who matched a season-high three game win streak.

The Nuggets led 79-61 with 3:13 remaining in the third, but that 18-point
margin quickly disappeared as the Sixers went on a 31-7 run which went into
the fourth quarter to jump ahead by six. Andre Iguodala capped off the burst
on a bucket in the paint to give Philadelphia a 92-86 lead with 8:15
remaining. The Iguodala basket also completed a string of 14 unanswered points
for the Sixers.

Denver trimmed the deficit to 92-90 on a pair of free throws by Andre Miller,
but that was as close as it would get as the Sixers would lead by as many as
10 the rest of the way.

Philadelphia led the battle of the benches, by outscoring Denver 42-10 in that

Sixers forward Kenny Thomas missed the game with flu-like symptoms.

Iverson has scored 20 or more points in three straight and six of his last
seven games. He has recorded eight double-doubles this season.

The 76ers are off until Friday when they host Stephon Marbury and the New York
Knicks at the Wachovia Center. It will be the second meeting of the season
between the clubs. On November 9, the Knicks defeated Philadelphia, 96-88, at
Madison Square Garden.
