New Orleans Hornets Team Report – December 15

=== New Orleans Hornets Team Report – December 15 ===

(Sports Network) – The New Orleans Hornets will try to halt their seemingly
endless losing streak this evening, as they host the Golden State Warriors at
New Orleans Arena.

The Hornets have dropped 11 straight and are just one loss shy of matching
their franchise-record 12-game losing streak set from January 19-February 14,
1990.

The Warriors and Hornets met on November 23 in Oakland and Golden State posted
a thrilling triple-overtime victory. The win snapped a two-game series losing
streak for the Warriors and was just the second victory in 11 tries for Golden
State in the series. The Warriors have also dropped seven straight on the road
against the Hornets.

The Hornets’ most recent loss came in overtime on Tuesday evening against the
expansion Charlotte Bobcats. Emeka Okafor hit two free throws with five
seconds left in the extra session to lift Charlotte to the 94-93 win.

David Wesley had 23 points and seven assists, while Junior Harrington scored a
career-high 22 for the Hornets, who dipped the league’s worst record to a
dismal 1-19.

It marked New Orleans’ first visit to Charlotte since the team moved 2 1/2
years ago. The Hornets spent nearly 10 years in Charlotte before they
relocated to the Big Easy. Following the relocation, Charlotte was given a
franchise with Bob Johnson as the owner later that year.
