(Sports Network) – The Bulls continued their recent hot streak on Monday
night, tallying a 92-87 win over the Portland Trail Blazers at the United

Ben Gordon scored 23 points and nailed a number of key shots down the stretch
to lead the Bulls to the victory. Eddy Curry scored 18 points, 16 in the
first half, and grabbed eight rebounds for the Bulls, who have won four in a
row for the first time since winning 13 consecutive in 1998.

Kirk Hinrich added 17 points as Chicago is 8-6 after starting the season 0-9.

Chicago trailed 50-49 at halftime, but opened the third with a 10-2 run to
take a 59-52 advantage. Then, leading 61-56, the Bulls went on an 8-2 burst to
extend to a 69-58 lead. Antonio Davis’ two free throws with 2:42 remaining in
the quarter capped the 20-8 run to open the half and the Bulls cruised into
the fourth with a 73-63 cushion.

The Blazers got as close as three points in the fourth quarter, but Chicago
held them at an arm’s length.

Davis had 12 points and 12 boards for Chicago, which shot 47 percent compared
to just 39 percent for the Blazers.

The Bulls have won five of six overall. Chicago ended a three-game homestand

The Bulls have a day off before heading to Detroit to take on the Pistons at
the Palace of Auburn Hills on Wednesday.
