Hornets’ Davis activated from injured list
New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) – New Orleans Hornets guard Baron Davis was
activated from the disabled list but did not dress for Tuesday’s 100-91
overtime loss against the Los Angeles Clippers. Davis also could miss
Wednesday’s game against the Lakers.
Davis, who was shelved on November 17, has missed the last 19 games with an
inflamed disc in his lower back. He played in the first five games of the
2004-05 season, averaging 24.6 points and eight assists.
The 25-year-old Davis also had back problems during the 2002-03 campaign,
missing eight games with spasms.
In other news, guard Alex Garcia will spend the rest of the season on the
injured list. Garcia, who tore a ligament in his left knee on December 12 at
Washington, averaged 5.5 points and 2.3 assists in eight games.
