Boston Celtics Team Report – December 22

=== Boston Celtics Team Report – December 22 ===

(Sports Network) – The Boston Celtics welcome the New York Knicks to the
FleetCenter this evening.

Boston fell on Tuesday, as it lost 108-100 to the Shaquille O’Neal-less Miami
Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Paul Pierce had 25 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Celtics, who lost
for only the second time in their last six contests. Al Jefferson added 15
points and nine boards in the setback.

To make matters worse for Boston, forward Raef LaFrentz left last night’s
contest in the second half with a sprained ankle and is doubtful for tonight’s
affair.

Boston, which will start a three-game road trip after tonight’s tilt, is 6-5
at home this season.

The Celtics have won two straight from the Knicks and have won 10 of 13, 11 of
16 and 13 of the last 21 meetings with New York. The Knicks have also dropped
nine of their last 13 in Beantown.
