(Sports Network) – The Clippers’ recent struggles were extended on Monday
night, as they fell 96-76 to the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum.

Corey Maggette had 14 points to lead the Clippers, who have dropped eight of
their last nine. Chris Wilcox had 12 points and Bobby Simmons had 11 to round
out the Clippers’ double-digit scorers.

The Grizzlies began to build their lead in the first quarter. Ahead 10-6
midway through the stanza, Memphis finished the frame with a 19-6 run to open
up a 29-12 advantage heading into the second. Gasol had eight points during
the burst, giving the club a 17-point cushion.

The Clippers stayed within striking distance in the second quarter, going into
halftime down just 51-40.

However, Memphis outscored Los Angeles 24-15 in the third to pull away for
good. Memphis has won seven straight against the Clippers.

Los Angeles will try to get back on the winning track on Wednesday evening,
when it battles the Utah Jazz at the Staples Center.
