(Sports Network) – The Detroit Pistons host the scorching Miami Heat, who go
for their 13th straight victory, tonight at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

This is the second meeting of the season between the teams. On November 26th,
the Pistons edged the Heat, 78-77, at The Palace. Overall, Detroit has won six
straight over Miami, which last defeated the Pistons on January 14, 2003 in
front of its home crowd. The Heat have lost five straight and six of their
last seven at Detroit

Detroit also comes into tonight’s contest on a winning streak. On Wednesday,
Chauncey Billups scored the game-winning basket with 0.7 seconds left as he
finished with 32 points and six assists to lead the Pistons over the
Washington Wizards, 107-105, at the MCI Center.

Rasheed Wallace finished with 23 points and nine rebounds in Wednesday’s win
for the Pistons, who have won three straight games. Richard Hamilton
contributed 15 points and five assists in 40 minutes of action.

Billups has scored in double-digits in seven straight games. He has averaged
20.6 points and 6.4 assists in that span.

Detroit is 8-4 as the host this season.
