(Sports Network) – The Boston Celtics found themselves on the wrong end of a
117-109 decision to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday at FedExForum.

Raef LaFrentz netted a game-high 28 points for the Celtics, who dropped their
third in a row. Paul Pierce totaled 18 points and seven assists in the losing

Boston led by double-digits entering the fourth, but Memphis started the final
frame on an 18-3 run and they never looked back. Earl Watson capped off the
burst on a three-pointer with 6:39 left to give the Grizzlies a 101-97 edge.

The Celtics hurt themselves, though, by turning the ball over 18 times in the

Boston, which lost to Dallas on Tuesday, has played on back-to-back nights
seven times this season. They have won both games on one occasion, lost both
games three times and split the other three matchups.

The Celtics return to the FleetCenter on Friday against the Washington
Wizards, who have dropped 12 of their last 15 games in Beantown.
