(Sports Network) – The Detroit Pistons lost to the red-hot Miami Heat, 89-78,
on Thursday at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

It was the second meeting of the season between the teams. On November 26th,
the Pistons edged the Heat, 78-77, at The Palace.

Richard Hamilton scored 19 points and Rasheed Wallace netted 13 with 11
rebounds for the Pistons, who had their three-game winning streak halted. Ben
Wallace also scored 13 points while grabbing nine boards and Antonio McDyess
contributed 12 points in the setback.

Hamilton has scored in double-digits in 13 straight games. He is averaging
20.8 points and 3.5 assists in that span.

The Pistons are off until Sunday when they host the Boston Celtics. Last
season, Detroit swept its three meetings with the Celtics.
