=== New Orleans Hornets Team Report – January 12 ===

(Sports Network) – The New Orleans Hornets attempt to win three straight
games
for the first time this season, as they visit the defending world champion
Detroit Pistons tonight at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the teams. On
December 4th, the Pistons knocked off the Hornets, 92-69, at New Orleans
Arena. Overall, the road team has won 13 of the last 19 games in this series.
The Hornets have lost three of their last five at Detroit.

On Tuesday, Lee Nailon scored 18 points and hit a tie-breaking jump shot with
1:15 remaining to lift New Orleans to an 88-82 victory over the New York
Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Baron Davis had a game-high 21 points and
dished out 10 assists, as the Hornets stopped a 14-game losing streak on the
road and posted back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

P.J. Brown racked up 17 points and 12 rebounds for New Orleans, which still
owns a league-worst 4-29 record. Dan Dickau contributed 17 points in the win
on 5-of-6 shooting off the bench.

Nailon has scored in double-digits in nine of his last 10 games. He is
averaging 16.7 points in that span.

The Hornets are 2-17 on the road this season.
