(Sports Network) – The New York Knicks fell to the New Orleans Hornets,
88-82, on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

Allan Houston topped the slumping Knicks with 17 points, while Stephon Marbury
compiled 15 points and 13 assists in the loss. New York, which fell for the
fifth time in six outings, also received a double-double from forward Jerome
Williams, who finished with 12 points and a season-best 11 rebounds.

New York played the Hornets without injured forwards Tim Thomas (knee) and
Michael Sweetney (ankle). The Knicks did activate guard Jamison Brewer, out
since December 4 with tendinitis in his right toe, but he saw no action

Houston is averaging 21 points in his last two contests. He has scored in
double-digits in four of his last five games.

The Knicks are off until Saturday when they visit the Chicago Bulls at the
United Center for the first of a home-and-home set. It will be the first
meeting of the season between the squads. The teams will play twice more in
April.
