(Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Lakers host LeBron James and the Cleveland
Cavaliers tonight at the Staples Center.

This is the first of two meetings this season between the teams. The Cavaliers
are scheduled to host the Lakers on February 13th at Gund Arena in the final
contest of the season series.

Last season, the Lakers swept their two games with the Cavaliers. Overall,
the Lakers have won three straight and nine of the last 10 meetings in this
series. Cleveland has lost five straight and seven of its last 12 at the
Lakers.

The Lakers come into tonight’s game fresh off a loss. On Wednesday, LA fell to
the Denver Nuggets, 95-83, at the Pepsi Center.Caron Butler scored 18 points
to lead the Lakers, who had a two-game win streak halted.

Kobe Bryant had only 16 points on 5-of-14 shooting, including 2-of-8 from
three in the loss, as Los Angeles had a four-game win streak against the
Nuggets come to an end.

The Lakers are 17-3 when they allow under 100 points this season.

LA is 12-6 as the host this season. The Lakers have won three straight at
home.
