(Sports Network) – The Bulls tallied an 86-84 win over the New York Knicks at
the United Center on Saturday night.

Eddy Curry scored 17 points, including the game-winning layup with 2.4 seconds
remaining, to lead the Bulls to the win. Curry hit 8-of-15 field goal attempts
for the Bulls, who have won 12 of their last 15 contests and put together
their first six-game winning streak since 1998, when they won 13 straight.

With the score tied 84-84, the Knicks’ Trevor Ariza had his shot blocked by
Andres Nocioni, setting up a fastbreak that ended with Curry’s layup to give
the Bulls the lead with 2.4 seconds remaining.

On the ensuing possession, New York fed Nazr Mohammed in the post, but his
last-ditch attempt was blocked by Tyson Chandler, who collected 10 rebounds
and four blocks.

Ben Gordon netted 14 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, while Kirk
Hinrich added 15 points and 11 assists for the Bulls.

The Bulls, who have won five straight at home, are 12-9 at the United Center
this season.

Chicago has held opponents under 100 points in 20 consecutive games, the
longest current streak in the NBA.

Saturday’s game was the first of a home-and-home that will finish up in the
Big Apple on Monday afternoon.
