=== Washington Wizards Team Report – January 16 ===

(Sports Network) – Washington posted a 108-103 win over the Phoenix Suns on
Saturday night at the MCI Center.

Juan Dixon and Gilbert Arenas scored 26 points apiece to lead Washington to
the win. Dixon had a great night shooting, hitting 10-of-13 from the floor,
including 3-of-4 from long distance. He also had four steals.

Arenas hit just 6-of-23 from the field, but was 12-of-14 from the charity
stripe. Larry Hughes had 22 points and tied a career-high with 13 rebounds,
while Antawn Jamison netted 17 in the win. Hughes jammed his right thumb in
the fourth quarter and will be re-evaluated tomorrow.

The Wizards have won seven straight, while the Suns have lost three straight
overall. Washington has topped the 100-point mark in all seven games during
the win streak.

Entering Saturday’s contest, the Wizards were eight games over .500 for the
first time since 1979.

Washington has a day off before heading to San Antonio to battle the Spurs on
Monday.
