(Sports Network) – Indiana came up short on Saturday night, falling 85-84 to
the Orlando Magic at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Jermaine O’Neal poured in 38 points with 15 rebounds to lead the Pacers, who
were coming off an impressive 101-83 thumping of the NBA-leading Phoenix Suns
on Friday night.

Jamaal Tinsley added 12 points in defeat. He was the only other Indiana scorer
in double figures.

The Magic never trailed after taking a 19-18 lead on Dwight Howard’s layup
with 4:23 remaining in the first quarter. But they couldn’t put the Pacers

Indiana activated forward Jonathan Bender off the injured list prior to the
game. He finished with eight points and two rebounds in 17 minutes of action.

The Pacers missed seven free throws in the fourth quarter and 14 in the game
(24-of-38). They shot 38 percent from the floor and were just 2-of-14 from
three-point territory.

Indiana has the next two days off before beginning a three-game road trip
against the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center on Tuesday night.
