(Sports Network) – The Clippers came up short on Saturday, dropping a 99-95
decision to the Sacramento Kings at ARCO Arena.

Elton Brand had 25 points and 14 rebounds, while Chris Kaman had a career-high
23 points for the Clippers, who lost for the first time in three games.

A Bobby Simmons hoop gave the Clippers a 67-66 lead with three minutes left in
the third quarter. But Cuttino Mobley had seven points as the Kings ended the
stanza on an 11-2 run to take a 77-69 advantage into the final 12 minutes.

A Kerry Kittles three-pointer pulled the Clippers within 83-82 with 6:15
remaining. But the Kings held on the rest of the way to register the victory.

Sacramento has won six straight and 11 of the last 12 meetings in this series.
The Kings have won 13 in a row and 17 of their last 18 home tilts versus the
