Crawford returns to Knicks’ lineup
New York, NY (Sports Network) – The New York Knicks activated guard
Jamal Crawford from the injured list prior to their 88-86 loss to the
Chicago Bulls on Monday at Madison Square Garden.
Crawford, who had been sidelined since December 22 due to turf toe on his
right foot, came off the bench and scored eight points in 27 minutes of
The fourth-year pro had been sensational for the Knicks before the injury and
came into Monday’s contest averaging 19.3 points along with 3.7 assists
through the team’s first 26 contests.
To make room for Crawford on the active roster, New York placed reserve guard
Moochie Norris on the injured list with tendinitis in his left Achilles.
Norris is averaging 2.7 points and 1.2 assists in 26 games for the year.
Forward Tim Thomas, who had sat out three straight games with a sore left knee
and strained right calf, also returned to action on Monday, but scored no
points in just four minutes.
