(Sports Network) – The red hot Bulls completed a home-and-home sweep of the
New York Knicks with an 88-86 victory at Madison Square Garden.

Ben Gordon scored 13 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter and hit the game-
winning jumper with :00.1 remaining to lift the Bulls to the win. It marked
the second consecutive last second victory for Chicago, as Eddy Curry hit a
layup with 2.4 seconds left in the contest to beat New York on Saturday.

Three Bulls players compiled double-doubles to help Chicago rally from an
eight-point deficit with less than 3 1/2 minutes to play.

Luol Deng compiled 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Kirk Hinrich racked up 14
points, 13 boards and eight assists as the red-hot Bulls recorded their
seventh straight win.

Chicago’s win streak is the club’s longest since reeling off 13 in a row
during the 1997-98 campaign.

Andres Nocioni added 13 points and 11 rebounds while Tyson Chandler pulled
down 13 boards for Chicago, which outrebounded New York by a 56-38 margin.

Chicago forward Antonio Davis missed the game with a back strain. Davis is
listed as day-to-day.

In other news, Bulls and White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf underwent an
angioplasty procedure and is expected to remain in the hospital for a few
days.

Chicago has two of its final three tilts of the week on the road, including
contests in Boston and Detroit. The Bulls also have a home tilt against
Atlanta on Friday. On Wednesday, Chicago will take on the Celtics at the
FleetCenter.
