Indiana Pacers Team Report

(Sports Network) – The Pacers shoot for their second consecutive victory this
evening, when they begin a three-game road trip against the New Orleans
Hornets at New Orleans Arena.

Indiana got back on the winning track Tuesday night, registering an 87-74
victory over Houston at Toyota Center. Jamaal Tinsley poured in 28 points and
Jermaine O’Neal collected 27 points and seven rebounds in the winning effort.
O’Neal is leading the Pacers in scoring (26.9 ppg), while sitting second on
the squad in rebounding (9.7 rpg).

Tinsley was excellent from three-point range, as he hit 5-of-6 from beyond the
arc to help Indiana win for the third time in four games. Jeff Foster added 11
points for the Pacers, who made 8-of-12 three-pointers as a team.

The Pacers made 52 percent of their shots (35- of-67) to become the fifth team
to shoot over 50 percent from the field against Houston this season. Indiana
drained 8-of-12 (.667) from three-point range and 9-of-16 from the free throw

Indiana’s excellent defense continued against the Rockets, as it forced 21
turnovers and held Houston to 41.8 percent shooting. The Pacers registered 17
points off of the Rockets’ miscues.

The Pacers, who put an end a three-game road losing streak on Tuesday, are
9-10 in foreign buildings this season.

Following the New Orleans tilt, the Pacers play Miami on the road Friday and
return home to host Washington on Saturday. Indiana will then have the next
three days off before returning to the court.
