‘Melo injury not serious

Denver, CO (Sports Network) – Denver’s Carmelo Anthony injured his right ankle
in Tuesday’s overtime win over the Seattle SuperSonics, but it isn’t expected
to be serious.

Team doctors examined Anthony on Wednesday and determined that x-rays weren’t
necessary. He currently has full range of motion and minimal swelling in the
ankle and is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Memphis
Grizzlies.

Anthony suffered the injury early in the fourth quarter when he landed on
the foot of Sonics center Nick Collison. Anthony finished with 10 points in
32 minutes of action.

The 20-year-old Anthony is averaging 20.5 points and 5.8 rebounds in 32
contests.
