Celtics activate West
Boston, MA (Sports Network) – The Boston Celtics have activated guard
Delonte West from the injured list.
West, the 24th overall selection in the 2004 NBA Draft, was placed on the
injured list December 1 with a fractured right fourth metacarpal. He’s
appeared in two games this season, averaging 3.5 points and 2.0 assists in
12.0 minutes per contest.
It was his second stint on the IL after the 6-4 guard, who helped lead Saint
Joseph’s to a 30-2 record last season, missed the first 10 games of the season
with a right thumb fracture.
In a related move, the Celtics placed forward Tom Gugliotta on the IL with a
mild right ankle sprain. Gugliotta has appeared in 10 games, averaging 1.2
points and 2.0 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game.
