(Sports Network) – New Jersey suffered a 113-105 defeat to the Phoenix Suns
on Sunday at America West Arena.

Vince Carter paced the Nets with 32 points. Jason Kidd matched his season-
high with 23 points. Kidd also grabbed eight boards and dished out eight
assists for New Jersey, which had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Kidd has recorded double-digits in all 12 of New Jersey’s games in 2005.
Meanwhile, Carter is posting 23.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists since
joining New Jersey via trade from Toronto.

Rodney Buford collected 16 points with seven boards in the setback, while
Jason Collins recorded 13 points and 10 rebounds. Nenad Krstic registered 12
points in the game.

New Jersey, which entered the game on the start of a five-game West Coast road
trip, fell to 6-16 in foreign buildings this season. The Nets have lost six of
seven and seven of their last 10 road games.

New Jersey, which lost its 11th straight in Phoenix, last won at American West
Arena back on March 13, 1993.

The Nets have a brutal week with four road games in five days beginning
Tuesday in Sacramento. New Jersey also will play Golden State (Wednesday), the
Los Angeles Lakers (Friday) and Utah (Saturday).
