=== Golden State Warriors Team Report – January 26 ===

(Sports Network) – The Golden State Warriors host the New Jersey Nets on
Wednesday at The Arena in Oakland.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On
January 7th, the Nets defeated the Warriors, 82-72, at Continental Airlines
Arena.

Overall, the home team has won nine of the last 10 meetings in this series.
New Jersey has won four straight and five of its last six contests with the
Warriors, who last defeated the Nets on January 23, 2003.

New Jersey has lost five of its last eight as the visitor against the
Warriors. These two teams have split the last six contests at Golden State.

The Warriors, who have lost two in a row, play the middle contest of a three-
game homestand tonight. On Saturday, LeBron James posted his second triple-
double in three games as the Cleveland Cavaliers closed their season-long,
six-game road trip with a 105-87 victory over Golden State at The Arena in
Oakland.

Richardson finished with 22 points in Saturday’s loss, while Derek Fisher
contributed 18 points and Troy Murphy netted 15 in defeat. Golden State fell
to 3-23 when it scores under 100 points this season.

On the injury front for Golden State, guard Speedy Claxton (knee) is
questionable. Claxton has missed the Warriors’ last two contests.

Golden State is 9-12 as the host this season. The Warriors are scheduled to
host All-Star Ray Allen and the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday in the finale of
the brief stand. Earlier this season, the Sonics defeated Golden State,
103-84, on January 14th at KeyArena.

The Warriors travel to Los Angeles after playing the Sonics to play the
Clippers on Saturday at Staples Center.

Richardson has scored more than 20 points in four straight and nine of his
last 10 games. He is averaging 26.6 points in his last 10 contests.
