Knicks’ Houston back on IL
New York, NY (Sports Network) – New York Knicks guard Allan Houston was placed
on the injured list Friday with lingering pain in his left knee resulting from
off-season knee surgery.
Houston has played in 20 games with 11 starts since being activated off the IL
and making his season debut on December 10 in Washington in a 106-104 setback
to the Wizards. He has averages of 11.9 points and 26.6 minutes per game.
Houston had been on the shelf the first 18 games of the season after
undergoing offseason left knee surgery. The injury had forced Houston to miss
the end of last season, including the playoffs, as well as the entire
preseason this year.
In other roster news, the Knicks activated guards Anfernee Hardaway and
Moochie Norris off the injured list. Norris was out with an Achilles’ injury,
while Hardaway was nursing an injured hamstring.
