Arroyo breaks nose against Knicks
Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) – Detroit Pistons guard Carlos Arroyo broke
his nose late in the third quarter of Detroit’s lopsided 91-61 victory over
the New York Knicks on Saturday night.
Arroyo, who was acquired from Utah on January 21, was accidentally hit in the
face by New York rookie Trevor Ariza, who also left the game with an injury.
The 25-year-old Arroyo will undergo surgery on Monday and is expected to wear
a protective mask when he returns. He is considered doubtful for Detroit’s
next two games on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Arroyo had four points in 11 minutes of Detroit’s rout.
