Nesterovic activated from IL
Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) – The San Antonio Spurs activated forward Rasho
Nesterovic from the injured list and he is expected to be in action for
Tuesday’s game against Charlotte.
Nesterovic, who had missed six games with a left ankle sprain, is averaging
5.4 points and 6.7 rebounds in 42 games this season. The seven-footer is
playing his second season in San Antonio after spending the first five years
of his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
To make room on the roster, San Antonio placed guard Mike Wilks on the IL with
left patella tendinitis.
Nesterovic’s return comes at a good time for the Spurs, who could be without
the services of two-time MVP Tim Duncan for Tuesday’s game. Duncan
hyperextended his knee during last Thursday’s win against the LA Lakers and is
listed as questionable against the Bobcats.
