(Sports Network) – The Pacers suffered a 108-104 loss to the Washington
Wizards at the MCI Center on Monday night.

Jermaine O’Neal finished with 30 points, 13 rebounds and five blocked shots
for the Pacers, who lost for the seventh time in nine games. Stephen Jackson
added 29 points and nine rebounds in the loss and teammate Jeff Foster
collected 14 points and 11 boards before fouling out.

Indiana hit 46.3 percent of its shots in the game, including 7-of-19 (.368)
from three-point range. The Pacers also drained 23-of-28 (.821) from the free
throw line in the contest.

O’Neal made a hook shot in the paint to cut the deficit to 106-104 with 34.1
seconds left and Indiana had a chance to tie the game after Gilbert Arenas
missed a jumper in the lane with just eight ticks left. However, Juan Dixon
came away with the steal after the inbounds pass at the other end and the
Pacers were forced to foul. Dixon made both foul shots with 3.6 seconds left
to seal Indiana’s fate.

Indiana guard Jamaal Tinsley missed his fourth straight game because of a
bruised left foot. Tinsley is listed as day-to-day.

The Pacers (22-25) currently sit outside of the Eastern Conference playoffs, a
half game behind eighth place Philadelphia. Indiana has recorded just a 15-14
record within the East this season.

Indiana has struggled to score points this year, registering just 92.7 (25th-
NBA) per game. Meanwhile, the Pacers are seventh in the league in points
allowed (94.3 ppg). Indiana is shooting 43.8 percent (19th), while allowing
foes to drain 44.8 percent (18th) of their shots.

The Pacers have a day off before returning to Conseco Fieldhouse to start a
four-game homestand against Charlotte. Indiana also has home games against
Houston (Friday) and Memphis (Sunday) remaining this week.
