Bobcats’ Okafor activated from IL

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) – The Charlotte Bobcats activated forward Emeka
Okafor from the injured list prior to Friday’s game against Miami.

Okafor had missed the previous five games after spraining his left ankle in a
game versus the Los Angeles Lakers.

The second overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, Okafor started in the first 41
games this season and enters Friday’s game averaging a team-high 14.9 points

last season, will be tested in his first game back as he battles Heat center
Shaquille O’Neal.

Charlotte also activated forward Bernard Robinson from the injured list, while
placing center Jahidi White in the IL.
