Sixers place Salmons on injured list
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) – The Philadelphia 76ers placed guard John
Salmons on the injured list Monday with asthamtic bronchitis.
Salmons has played 35 games, eight of which have been starts, and is averaging
5.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists. The 25-year-old former first-round
pick has missed a total of 16 games this season.
In a related move, the Sixers activated guard Kevin Ollie from the injured
list. Ollie has been sidelined with right knee tendinitis since January 24 and
has appeared in just 16 games this year.
Philadelphia will try for its third straight win this evening and attempts to
go above .500 when it hosts the New York Knicks at the Wachovia Center.
