=== Houston Rockets Team Report – February 15 ===

(Sports Network) – The Houston Rockets try to extend their winning streak to
eight games on Tuesday when they welcome the Washington Wizards to the Toyota
Center in the last game before the All-Star break for both teams.

Houston won both meetings against Washington last season, and has taken four
of the last five clashes overall. The Rockets will visit the Wizards on March
2nd at the MCI Center.

The Rockets kept their spurt alive on Sunday with an 81-80 decision over
visiting Portland, despite blowing an 18-point lead. Yao Ming scored 23 points
and Juwan Howard added 17 with 11 rebounds to pace the tight win.

Tracy McGrady finished with 18 points and nine assists for the Rockets, who
have won seven straight games for the first time in almost six years. The last
run this long for the team was a nine-gamer from March 16-30, 1999.

Houston is currently third in the Southwest Division, behind San Antonio and
Dallas, and sixth in the Western Conference overall.

The Rockets, who have won three straight home games, will finish a three-game
stand next Tuesday against Seattle.

Yao has scored in double-digits in 14 straight games and has registered five
double-doubles in that span. He is averaging 17.8 points and 8.8 rebounds in
his last 10 contests.

McGrady and Yao will both be in the starting lineup for the Western Conference
in Sunday’s All-Star Game at the Pepsi Center.
