Kings’ Mobley fined for verbal abuse of official
Denver, CO (Sports Network) – Sacramento Kings guard Cuttino Mobley was fined
$10,000 Tuesday for his on-court actions following last week’s game against
the Dallas Mavericks.
After the conclusion of Friday’s contest, which saw Dallas post a thrilling
115-113 road victory, Mobley verbally abused one of the referees and did not
leave the ARCO Arena floor in a timely manner.
Mobley was recently acquired by Sacramento in a trade that sent veteran guard
Doug Christie to Orlando. The Rhode Island product was in his first year with
the Magic after being obtained in the offseason, along with Steve Francis, in
the seven-player blockbuster deal that saw Tracy McGrady head to Houston.
The 29-year-old Mobley, is averaging 17.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.7
assists in 15 games with the Kings. Prior to his arrival in Sacramento, he
posted 16.0 points in 29 contests with the Magic this year.
