Clippers’ Livingston placed on injured list
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Clippers have placed
rookie guard Shaun Livingston on the injured list with torn cartilage in his
Livingston, who was hurt in a February 15 game against Orlando, could miss up
to three weeks with the injury. This will mark the second stint on the IL this
season for Livingston, who also missed 39 contests earlier this year with a
dislocated right kneecap.
The fourth overall selection in the 2004 NBA Draft, Livingston has averaged
5.5 points and 3.3 assists in 13 games.
The 19-year-old was a star at Peoria Central High School in Illinois,
averaging 18.0 points, 6.2 assists and 5.7 assists per game. Livingston was
the first high school point guard to become an NBA lottery pick.
The Clippers also announced that have signed guard Maurice Baker to a 10-day
contract. Baker, who was called up from the CBA. averaged 16.9 points, 6.7
assists and 5.4 boards for the Dakota Wizards.
