=== Charlotte Bobcats Team Report – February 22 ===

(Sports Network) – The Charlotte Bobcats will attempt to build on a victory
prior to the All-Star break this evening, when they host the Milwaukee Bucks
at Charlotte Coliseum.

Charlotte could get a much-needed lift from the return of rookie power forward
Emeka Okafor, who has had five days to rest his sprained left ankle. Okafor
was forced to skip the All-Star festivities due to his injury. Sharpshooter
Steve Smith will be back after missing the last game due to flu-like symptoms.

Charlotte finished its pre-All-Star slate with a 94-88 victory over the Denver
Nuggets at Charlotte Coliseum. Kareem Rush posted 14 of his 20 points in the
fourth quarter to spur the Bobcats to the victory. Keith Bogans finished with
18 points in the contest.

Melvin Ely posted 15 points for the Bobcats, who halted a seven-game losing
streak and won for just the third time in 21 games. Brevin Knight added 11
points in the victory, while Primoz Brezec notched 10 points and 14 rebounds.

The Bobcats shot 44.7 percent from the field, including 5-of-14 (.357) from
three-point range. Charlotte drained 13-of-21 (.619) from the free throw line,
while outrebounding the Nuggets, 44-39.

Charlotte, which has lost three of its last four home games, is 9-16 in its
friendly confines this season. The Bobcats are finishing up a three-game
homestand this evening.

Milwaukee has won the first two meetings between these teams this season by an
average of 4.5 points. The Bucks registered a 99-92 win over the Bobcats at
the Coliseum on Jan. 17.

Following tonight’s contest, Charlotte will have the next two days off before
heading to New Jersey to face the Nets at Continental Airlines Arena. The
Bobcats will return home to host the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.
