(Sports Network) – The Denver Nuggets welcome the Boston Celtics on
Wednesday to the Pepsi Center. It will be the final meeting of the season
between the clubs. Denver defeated Boston, 100-99, on December 15th at the
FleetCenter to snap a two-game series losing streak.

Denver hopes to have a fresh start after the All-Star break. The Nuggets lost
three of their last five before the break, and enter Wednesday 10th in the
Western Conference standings.

Last Wednesday the Nuggets dropped a 94-88 contest at Charlotte. Carmelo
Anthony scored a game-high 21 points for the Nuggets, who ended their five-
game road trip with a 2-3 record. Kenyon Martin registered 17 points, Earl
Boykins chipped in 16 and Marcus Camby ended with 12 points and 13 boards in
the loss.

The Nuggets, who trail the No. 8 Los Angeles Lakers by four games, will visit
Memphis on Friday and New Orleans on Sunday. Denver is 1-0 against both the
Grizzlies and the Hornets this season.

Carmelo Anthony leads the Nuggets in scoring at 19.8 points per game, while
Camby is Denver’s top rebounder (9.5 rpg) and Andre Miller is averaging a
team-best 6.2 assists per game.

Anthony is averaging 18 points and 5.7 rebounds in his last 10 games, while
Martin has scored in double-digits in 11 straight contests and has registered
18.6 points and 7.3 boards in his last 10 games.
