Bobcats lose White for season

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) – The expansion Charlotte Bobcats received some
discouraging news Thursday as center Jahidi White will miss the rest of the
2004-05 season because of a right shoulder injury.

White, who is slated to undergo surgery, played in 18 games this season for
the Bobcats, averaging 2.5 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.

The 29-year-old Georgetown product suffered the problem in a loss versus the
New Jersey Nets on November 30.

In other news for Charlotte, the Bobcats have gained the first-round pick in
the 2005 NBA Draft owned by Cleveland. When Charlotte acquired a first-round
pick from Phoenix through the Expansion Selection, the Cavaliers were
permitted to keep the pick if it fell within certain draft positions.
Cleveland has now removed all restrictions on the pick, giving the selection
to the Bobcats
