Denver acquires forward Najera from Golden State

Denver, CO (Sports Network) – The Denver Nuggets acquired forward Eduardo
Najera, guard Luis Flores and a future first-round draft pick from the Golden
State Warriors on Thursday. In exchange, the Warriors will get forwards Rodney
White and Nikoloz Tskitishvili.

Najera played in 42 games this season with the Warriors, posting 4.2 points
per game to go along with 2.8 rebounds, while Flores has seen action in just
15 contests. Flores, the 55th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, is averaging
2.1 ppg.

“This move helps us in many ways.” said team General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe.
“He (Najera) brings energy every single day.

White, who has spent the last three campaigns in Denver, has appeared in 42
games in 2004-05, averaging 5.6 points with 1.8 rebounds. In 186 career games
with Denver, White has netted 7.7 ppg. with 2.4 rpg.

Tskitishvili, the fifth overall pick back in 2002, has played in 23 games this
season. He averaged 1.5 points and 1.3 boards for the Nuggets.
